Soap Surprise- How African black soap made me love natural products.
I’ve always been skeptical of all natural beauty products. My line has always been “I need a mix of science and nature in my products”. But black african soap has changed all that for me.
One google search of African black soap will pull up hundreds of reviews and blogs singing it’s praises but I discovered it by accident. My roommate bought a couple bars on amazon to clear up the breakouts on her back from hot yoga. I snagged one and started to use it to wash my face at night. At first, I was worried it would be too harsh or drying but it wasn’t. I got my skin squeaky clean but not dry, and took off all of my makeup.
Since I started using it a few weeks ago, I have had no breakouts and my skin has never looked better. And the best part? It costs next to nothing! I’m absolutely in love and I’ll never go back to regular soap!

Q: What sunscreens do you recommend/use? Thank you in advance for your help xo.
For the face, I love Shisedo. It’s expensive and a little hard to find, but it’s the absolute best. My skin is very sensitive to sunscreens and it’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate it. For body, I like neutrogena dry touch. It’s not sticky and comes in a huge range of SPF.
Product love- NYX HD concealer.
I bought one of these bad boys in a pinch a while back and threw it in my purse. I never used it much but I found it the other day and holy cow, it is amazing. Super pigmented long lasting coverage without looking cakey? Sign me up. I immediately went to Ulta to stock up and at only 5 bucks a tube I got 3. One that is my skin tone (beige I believe) and a darker tone and a lighter tone to contour with. Such a great find!
Sushi date with the BFF. Wearing the amazing new “Kurt Cobain” sweater from her summer line. Pretty much the proudest of her. ❤️ @jacvanek (at Franklin Village)
Is there such a thing as too many healing gemstone bracelets? Nah. I’ll be listing these tonight on my etsy store for those interested in buying!
Testing the new @kenraprofessional Dry Texture Spray and Texturizing Taffy today. They both smell delicious and give soft, touchable feel (not dry and starchy like most texture sprays).
Wait a minute…. Am I dreaming or did my friends at @kenraprofessional just send me a whole bunch of new toys to play with (including their new dry texture spray)?! Somebody pinch me! Thank you Kenra!
