Sushi date with the BFF. Wearing the amazing new “Kurt Cobain” sweater from her summer line. Pretty much the proudest of her. ❤️ @jacvanek (at Franklin Village)
Is there such a thing as too many healing gemstone bracelets? Nah. I’ll be listing these tonight on my etsy store for those interested in buying!
Testing the new @kenraprofessional Dry Texture Spray and Texturizing Taffy today. They both smell delicious and give soft, touchable feel (not dry and starchy like most texture sprays).
Wait a minute…. Am I dreaming or did my friends at @kenraprofessional just send me a whole bunch of new toys to play with (including their new dry texture spray)?! Somebody pinch me! Thank you Kenra!
Experimenting with some new gems. Chryscolla, fluorite and serpentine with a Tibetan silver charm. Peaceful vibes.
A little tease action for my girl @emonilovesmusic before her last Sing Off show in LA. (at House of Blues Sunset Strip)
Cleansing with Oil
Oil is good for your skin. Thats right, I said it. Oil is good for your skin. I know this seems contrary to everything we were taught as teenagers battling breakouts, but it’s true. For centuries, Asian cultures have been using oil to cleanse their skin and in case you haven’t noticed, those women have gorgeous, glowing complexions.
Using a cleansing oil, like Shisedio, MAC cleanse off oil or NYX Cleansing oil, helps remove all traces of makeup and dirt without stripping any of the moisture from your skin. Foaming cleansers can remove the natural oils that your body produces to keep skin supple and dry out your skin. And dry skin shows signs of age more quickly, and no one wants that.
If you feel like you’re not getting your skin completely clean (which you are, I promise) you can use some witch hazel on a cotton pad to remove any traces of the oil. On top of using oil to cleanse, I drench my face with vitamin e oil nightly before my moisturizer. But, if thats too scary for you, then just concentrate it around your eyes. Vitamin E oil is the stuff of miracles, it has incredible anti aging and antioxidant properties, helps even skin tone, improve texture, repair sun damage and even help with stretch marks on the body.
I know it seems counter intuitive to rub oil on your face but it’s truly the most natural and basic moisturizer you can find. I also use Aragan oil in my hair and Hemp Seed oil on my body. So clearly I am a big fan of oil as a beauty product. I highly recommend using it in your daily beauty routine. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but I promise you will notice a difference in your skin within a few weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in my ask box!
